That's me in the picture with Tony Romo. We have participated in a few functions together since 2006 - he is a great guy and a good friend to The Dallas Cowboys Fan Network. You can get more detailed information on The Dallas Cowboys Fan Network and hear the story about how I got to know Tony Romo here

Cowboys win with unique strategy - practice during first half instead of during the week before the game

Last week, I asked on our Facebook page about who you would trust more - the defense to hold a 3 point lead inside 2 minutes, or the offense to regain the lead inside 2 minutes. We got an answer today as the offense came back to tie after the defense gave up the lead.

Nice Win, but Don't Eat the (Philadelphia Cream) Cheese, Cowboys Fans

I will resist the temptation to open with criticism after a win - but I'll get back to that.

Winning a road game against a division opponent, with the season's last dwindling ray of hope on the line, is a really good thing. The Cowboys closed out a tough stretch with a win. I feel good about it. Let's look at a few specific players and positions:

Approaching a Crossroads

I've been saying for a while that whoever coaches the team will still be coaching Jerry Jones' Dallas Cowboys. The logical extension that I have so far avoided is that whoever is a fan of the team is also a fan of Jerry Jones' Dallas Cowboys.

Why are the Dallas Cowboys getting worse?

This is not intended as a call for firing the Head Coach, but you'll be forgiven for reading it that way.

There are certain things we can examine from week to week and game to game, and assign most of the blame to specific individuals for the losses or most of the credit for the wins. But everybody can have a bad (or good) week. What I'm concerned about here is the long term trend.

If only Dallas could play the Cowboys every week - it's the only team they consistently beat

In case you were not keeping score at home, Dallas had 28 first downs against the Giants' 11. Dallas won time of possession by almost five minutes and outgained New York by 141 yards. The Giants had more penalties and penalty yards.

Then again:

1. "Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?"
2. "Outside of the murders, the crime rate in DC is really low."
3. "Except for the 6 turnovers, the Cowboys played really well."

This game went 23-0 Giants; 24-0 Cowboys; 6-0 Giants. The only unit not at fault is the defense, and even they were very good, but not great.
