Welcome to The Dallas Cowboys Fan Network - join us it's free!

That's me in the picture with Tony Romo. We have participated in a few functions together since 2006 - he is a great guy and a good friend to The Dallas Cowboys Fan Network. You can get more detailed information on The Dallas Cowboys Fan Network and hear the story about how I got to know Tony Romo here

...on the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day

Well, well, well. The chickens come home to roost. I've said all year our secondary is shaky, and (I think) I have pointed out that on defense we almost always miss the first tackle. Up until now, we've been fortunate that our opponents have often stopped themselves. Face it, the Eagles game came down to that fumbled hand-off (not our doing.) Bad as Cleveland looked, a few dropped passes counted for a lot of points. The Packers game seems less impressive in retrospect, considering how the Buccaneers dismantled Green Bay today.

...on "established" vs. "up and coming"

I was watching the Pro Football Preview program on Fox Sports Net today, and their lead-in to the Cowboys-Redskins game described it as a match-up between "an established quarterback (Romo) against an up and coming quarterback (Campbell.)"

That struck me as a little bit funny, since they both became their respective teams' starting quarterbacks midway through the 2006 season. Romo threw his first NFL pass exactly three games earlier than Campbell, and has a six game advantage as starter only because Campbell missed the final three in 2007 due to injury.

WR technique. "hip stacking" and Austin's improvements

During the preseason I spoke with a lot of you about Miles Austin in the chat room - I thought he was the most improved player on the team and was beginning to look like a wide receiver with tons of potential. He has always had the speed but this season he seems to have learned how to catch the ball with really good technique. I always focus on receivers and QBs and their technique and Austin actually came out tops this preseason, ahead of even Owens and Crayton.

...on the Rest of that Game in Green Bay

This won’t be solely on the second half, because I left a few things out of my first half notes.

...on the First Half at Lambeau Field

Things looked promising on the Packers’ opening drive when Adam Jones forced, then recovered Ryan Grant’s fumble. The clouds seemed to gather a little when the team couldn’t get a touchdown, but what the heck – starting with a lead is always good.

Quiz, not really a poll (so don't look it up.) Which QB has the lowest Career Interception Percentage in Cowboys history?
